Farnborough, March 3rd, 2014 – Boldon James, a leading provider of Data Classification and secure messaging solutions, today announced that it will be supporting three conferences held in the UK, Barcelona and Las Vegas, being hosted by ISACA, a non‐profit global association serving more than 110,000 IT governance, assurance, risk and security professionals.  ISACA events attract the best and brightest information security professionals with their content‐rich and thought‐provoking sessions that delve into the biggest challenges facing IT audit and security professionals.

Boldon James will kick off a series of ISACA events with a speaking session at ISACA’s UK Chapter Event, taking place on 12th March in York, UK.   Led by Richard Bailey, Chief Development Officer at Boldon James, the session will focus on the controls required to ensure organisations derive the maximum benefits from investments in Big Data.  Data classification can be successfully applied as part of a layered security approach, which can harness the value of Big Data.

Data Classification technology is becoming integral to many organisation’s data security strategies and it empowers user communities who create and handle data to assign value to it.  This enables individuals to make informed decisions on how the data is managed, protected and shared, establishing a safety net that prevents sensitive data from being distributed in error.

“After a very positive experience in working with ISACA in 2013, we’re delighted to have increased our level of involvement with the association and we’re looking forward to supporting ISACA’s key events taking place in 2014,” said David Langton, Marketing Director of Boldon James.  “The events will provide us with a great platform to connect with key senior Governance, Risk and Compliance executives from around the world and help them understand the value that data classification can bring to their organisation.”

Boldon James will be sponsoring, exhibiting and presenting topics on data classification at the 2014 North America Computer Audit, Control and Security (CACS) in Las Vegas on 28th‐30th April and the European CACS Conference and exhibition in Barcelona on 29th September – 1st October 2014.  The final event taking place on 19th – 21st November will be the North America Information Security and Risk Management (ISRM) conference and exhibition, again held in Las Vegas. The ISRM conference is a multidimensional event featuring information security, risk and governance content, as well as featuring programs, tools and resources that organisations need to be responsive to keep up with the fast moving IT security industry.
