Boldon James announces the appointment of Albert Steffens and Ingo Quilling in the DACH region.
Dusseldorf, 19th July 2017 – QinetiQ’s data security company Boldon James, a leading provider of Data Classification and Secure Messaging solutions, today announced the appointment of Albert Steffens as Regional Director and Ingo Quilling as Principal Pre-Sales Consultant. The appointments come as a result of increased demand for Boldon James Classifier across the German, Austrian and Swiss (DACH) region – primarily from organisations who are required to meet the new European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force in May 2018.
However, GDPR is only a small part of data lifecycle management. User-driven data classification helps your users make smart decisions about the value of data to your organisation, and creates metadata tags to drive other key technologies, such as Access Control or DLP, facilitating cost reduction, eliminating risk, demonstrating regulatory compliance and putting security at the heart of your business processes.
Albert joins Boldon James having held senior business development roles at Symantec, Cryptovison and Novell, and brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge of how data centric security software can be used to not only protect sensitive data, but also positively affect cultural change by putting users at the heart of your security approach. Ingo Quilling joins from Veritas where he was Technical Account Manager covering eDiscovery, archiving and compliance solution areas. Prior to this Ingo spent almost 15 years at Symantec progressing rapidly from junior sales engineering to a principal pre-sales role, where he also received several company awards for excellence.
Paul Johnson, Sales Director EMEA at Boldon James said “The DACH region is a key market for Boldon James and we have seen a significant increase in demand from multinational organisations based in Central Europe. We are delighted to welcome Albert and Ingo to our team, with their extensive combined experience in the IT security market, this will enable us to support existing businesses within the region and our help drive our growth in the German speaking DACH markets.”
