Regional Sales Manager/Director – Great Lakes Region, United States

Role Description:

Boldon James is aggressively expanding Classifier sales revenues and engagement with targeted end-user prospects, systems integrators, our technology partners, and selected national VARs in North America.  As part of our ongoing strategy we are adding the role of Regional Sales Manager/Director – North Central / Great Lakes region.

This role will be responsible for evangelizing the deployment of Boldon James products in the assigned geography and generating revenue through both direct and channel sales.  This will also entail working with ISVs, system integrators and Technology Resellers. As the lead point of contact for enterprise prospects ad regional partners you will be tasked to increasing Boldon James awareness and resulting revenues supporting their sales efforts, technical enablement, and joint marketing activities.. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for managing and growing territory, maximizing short term revenue, building future sales pipeline through demonstrated account targeting and territory planning
  • Ability to work closely with pre-sales, engineering and service teams and to orchestrate and close complex data classification opportunities
  • Leading and closing software contracts and services opportunities that range from $50K up to $1M+ transactions
  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding assigned revenue quota   (e.g. exceed quota   of 1.5-2M)

This multi-faceted regional sales leadership role requires a high-energy, team oriented, driven professional with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude and sound strategic selling sales instincts with a focus on winning complex and competitive opportunities.


  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer/partner interest in data classification
  • Respond to and qualify incoming web and phone inquiries regarding Boldon James products
  • Create a great first impression to our prospects and customers by providing them with a world class experience
  • Create and prioritize strategic target and partner account lists
  • Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e. adding contacts, sending emails, strategic calling)
  • Conduct high level conversations with senior executives in prospect accounts
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications designed to increase customer/partner interest in data classification
  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel our growth

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled at managing complex enterprise sales engagements which involve a variety of channel partnerships
  • 5+ years in a direct sales role and where you achieved consistent quarterly quota targets
  • Ability to process customer requirements and address these needs by strategically positioning the value of our solution
  • Knowledge of the security software space that may include DLP, Data Governance, Discovery, Compliance and Information Rights Management would be a plus
  • Knowledge of current partners within the region
  • Motivation, drive, energetic and a self-starting attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to articulate and position strategic security technologies
  • You can thrive in a fast paced, team environment
