Channel Manager –UK & Ireland

Key Objectives:

To manage the channel partners and distributors to grow the top line revenues in the UK & Ireland region.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the entire sales process from start to finish including opportunity identification, introductory meetings, product demonstration, customer Q&A, as well as negotiation and closing. Leveraging Boldon James, Partner and Distribution resources where appropriate.
  • Accurately forecast revenue and track history and opportunity details in Salesforce.com
  • Develop regional partner and distribution business plans, strategic account plans, and key executive relationships - including growth opportunities, action planning, and business forecasting
  • Maintain strong relationship with distributors and partners at all levels and recruit new resellers where appropriate.
  • Constantly evaluate and manage existing partner performance against business plan and objectives set.
  • Engage with complementary Technology Vendors e.g ForcePoint / MacAfee etc.  Leveraging joint opportunities to create additional revenue to Boldon James.
  • Channel enablement and channel building, by providing sales, pre-sales and technical workshops leveraging Boldon James, Partner and Distribution resources skills where required.
  • Increase brand awareness and demand through targeted local sales & marketing campaigns and joint campaigns with local resellers and distributors.
  • Follow up in a timely manner on all leads and pipeline
  • Travel as necessary to client/partner locations (approximately 50-60% of time travelling)

Required profile, skills and experience:

  • 3+ years has proven successful record of accomplishment in security (specifically Data Classification, DLP & insider threat) software sales with channel partners on medium to large end-user business projects. Ideally within current distribution partner.
  • Target achievement oriented, self-starter with the drive and ability to develop and run ‘own business within the business.
  • Excellent teamwork ethos, skills and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to understand complex/enterprise IT/Security projects as appropriate to the company’s products complimenting, and integrating with, other technologies.
  • Willing and able to travel within region as appropriate to achieving business results.
  • Valid driving licence holder.
  • Confidence in passing UK Govt security clearance process.


Account Director –  UK/Nordics

Key Objectives:

To have a direct touch role to end customers in support or either a single or two tier channel model. To manage the channel partners in conjunction with the Boldon James channel manager. To grow the top line revenues in the region and manage that growth through sales management practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage effective and fruitful relationships with existing end-user customers to:-
    • Ensure their data classification needs are met;
    • Build opportunities for Boldon James and its partners.
  • Pro-actively develop new end-user customer opportunities through fully exploiting relevant contacts, customers and technology partners: Develop and manage relationships with reseller partners and sell solutions to and through them.
  • To promptly prioritise and act on sales leads generated from the company’s internal sales and promotional marketing activities.
  • ‘Project manage/co-ordinate’ internal and external resources effectively (e.g. Pre-Sales, Development, Technical Support, Partner Sales/Technical people) as necessary to successfully drive and conclude sales cycles in the best time frames.
  • In conjunction with Pre-Sales colleagues, perform product demonstrations and presentations.
  • Spearhead the setting up, and ensuring the successful outcome of, evaluations and pilot trials.
  • Influencing tender specifications and overseeing proposals/responses to RFPs.
  • Contract negotiation and closing deals.
  • Utilising the company SalesForce.com system to effectively and efficiently manage account/prospect development, sales cycle progress tracking/forecasting and recording/disseminating market intelligence.
  • Providing market intelligence and product feedback as appropriate to the company maintaining its competitive edge/USPs and in support of new product development.
  • Attending/presenting at exhibitions, seminars and conferences etc.
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as appropriate to the company achieving its business goals.

Required profile, skills and experience:

  • 3+ years successful track record of selling software security solutions.
  • Strong experience of working closely and effectively with reseller companies and complimentary vendors.
  • Excellent ‘hunter-farmer’ entrepreneurial sales attitude and skills.
  • A good teamwork ethos as well as being able to operate tenaciously and effectively under own initiative.
  • Valid driving licence holder.
  • Confidence is passing UK Govt security clearance process
