2015 marks our 30th year of providing market leading secure messaging and data classification services. This week, myself, Sales Director Paul Johnson and Marketing Director David Langton collected a Lifetime Achievement on behalf of Boldon James at the annual QinetiQ Conference award ceremony, where the running theme was “Inspiring Growth”.

The evening was kick-started with an inspiring talk by QinetiQ’s new CEO Steve Wadey who emphasised that collaboration and innovation is the key to future success – a theory Boldon James can already support when looking back to the start-up of the company back in 1985 by Peter Boldon and Roger James, in the outhouse of Peter Boldon’s garden in Alsager, Cheshire.

To this day, Boldon James still provides essential connectivity products to clients who have been contracted for over 20 years, such as the Inland Revenue, the company’s very first big contract. In the last decade, Boldon James has become a truly global business with a presence across five continents, supporting both defence and multinational corporations to help protect their sensitive data from ending up in the wrong hands, driving best practice and improved security effectiveness.

In the past 12 months we have launched 2 new products, including Exchange Classifier and our Mobile Classifier offering – both unique in their capability – complementing the existing proven and comprehensive Classifier product range. We continue to pioneer new products and channels to market, cementing our position as a global leader in data classification and secure messaging solutions.
