Security Module

The Security Module integrates seamlessly with Microsoft's Office Outlook client and components from Boldon James SAFEmail.mil suite enabling the S/MIME security element of a military message handling systems. The Module provides support for message signing and encryption and ESS labelling for signing and encryption of PCT or S/MIME formats. It can handle multiple certificates and software or hardware tokens. It also provides support for CRLs and extended PKI facilities.

The Security Subsystem component uses an independent implementation of the Getronics sponsored SFL Toolkit. The component uses SMIME V3 technology to sign and / or encrypt messages and send them either as X.400 or SMTP format.
