MasterKey.net - Delivering LDAP Access from Microsoft's Outlook Web Access Client.
MasterKey.net extends the standard Outlook Web Access address book. It extends it by including support for LDAP. This means users can now search the LDAP or X.500 directory as well as the standard Global Address List and Contacts that are included out of the box. There is no change to the Outlook Web Access User Interface, nor is there any change in the user experience except when they open the address book, and click the 'Find names in:' drop down list.
With MasterKey.net installed the drop down list is extended to include additional searchable LDAP or X.500 address books as the figure below illustrates. You can add as many LDAP address books as necessary pointing to different parts of the same directory, multiple directories or a combination of the two. The product also works with the Check names feature included with the OWA 2003 client. If the user selects Check Names then any LDAP address present will be searched as well as the standard GAL and Contacts.
By enabling LDAP support from Outlook Web Access MasterKey.net provides a major feature enhancement to the thin client.
