Draft and Release for Outlook
Draft and Release for Outlook provides workflow capabilities that save time and allows for effective delegation of tasks pertaining to document preparation.
The time of senior officers is typically under huge demand. As a consequence senior staff have often requested that their subordinates prepare documents on their behalf that are either detailed or routine.
Draft and Release is a software tool, part of the SAFEmail suite, which enables this capability. The product has been developed as extensions to the Microsoft Office Outlook client applications meaning ease of use and deployment are guaranteed.
It allows defence organisations to perform the following actions:
- Staff can prepare (draft) documents for review by colleagues within a controlled environment. The process can take place using formal military messaging structures ensuring the necessary conformance and standardisation is in place.
- Senior officers can delegate message and document creation to subordinates for their “signature” if the Draft and Release technology is used in conjunction with the SAFEmail Security modules.
- Given the relevant legislation this will allow for the preparation and dissemination of “orders” via an electronic messaging system.
