IMPART RFC1006 for Windows - RFC1006 Transport OSI Over TCP/IP

Our IMPART RFC 1006 enables Fujitsu IPA applications on Microsoft Windows systems to use a TCP/IP network to access Fujitsu VME mainframe services.

Product Benefits

  • Reduced Reconfiguration Costs - Having a single TCP/IP network for access to both Microsoft Windows and Fujitsu VME servers reduces reconfiguring costs when new PCs are added or existing ones re-deployed
  • Improved Network Management - Standardisation on a single protocol reduces network management costs and ensures investment in network management software is not duplicated. RFC 1006 facilitates the full use of routed networks
  • Legacy Investment Protection - The ability to run legacy applications over a TCP/IP network allows new applications and services to be added without requiring additional investment to permit new clients access to existing services
  • Greater Exploitation of Low Cost IP Technology - The ability to run legacy applications over a TCP/IP network allows greater exploitation of low cost IP routers, hubs and bridges, reducing overall network costs
