IMPART for Windows - Fujitsu VME Windows Connectivity
Our IMPART for Windows client is modular in design to fully meet the requirements of a user accessing VME host over a wide variety of protocols and networks. Product is available for use on all Microsoft platforms over a wide variety of network connections.
Product Benefits
- In the case of an OSI network, it's possible to run all the applications directly into the VME or UNIX host system using OSI protocols (available for Microsoft Windows 98 and above)
- In the case of a TCP/IP network, it's possible to run all the Fujitsu IPA applications over RFC 1006 (available for Microsoft Windows 98 and above) - This allows the use of a TCP/IP network and utilises an IMPART TCP/IP to OSI gateway into the VME mainframe
- IMPART for Windows client can be used with the IMPART for Windows server software - This allows applications on the client to run over a single protocol such as IPX, TCP/IP or NetBEUI, into the Windows server, from there, - they can be routed to the VME mainframe, to a UNIX server directly over OSI protocols, over RFC 1006 or over TCP/IP
- Using IMPART for Windows server software in above way, provides the advantage of a single point from which to configure, manage and control services access for a network of PCs
